2015 Could Be the Year for Medical Marijuana in Pennsylvania

January 1, 2015 – After coming oh so close last year, lawmakers may actually pass a medical marijuana bill in 2015. The new bill is expected to be patterned after Senate Bill 1182, the one that narrowly failed last year. Highlights:

  • Marijuana okay for epilepsy and seizures, ALS, wasting syndrome, Parkinson’s, traumatic brain injury and post-concussion syndrome, MS, SCA, PTSD and severe fibromyalgia
  • Up to 130 dispensaries, 65 growers and 65 processors
  • 6% surcharge payable by dispensary.
