Cannabidiol (CBD) oils, made from extracts of the marijuana plant’s leaves, have been shown effective in treating seizures. 4 problems with Kentucky’s new CBD oils law

Not surprisingly, the new Cannabis Compassion Act (SB 124), which was signed into law in April, hasn’t helped Kentucky patients get the CBD oils they need. Other than the fact that it’s limited to CBD oils, there are at least 4 problems with the law:
1. CBD oils must be ordered by physicians at a teaching hospital, which significantly narrows the field of prescribers

2. It requires a “written order” from the physician and physicians can’t issue such orders without breaking federal law
